There are tons of Sims 4 toddler mods available to help make this adorable life stage a bit more fun. Check out our list below to find the perfect one for your Sims!
Toddlers tend to be more clingy and independent than adult sims. This can cause issues in the future if you don’t take care of them properly.
1. Better Babies and Toddlers
Taking care of toddler mods can be difficult in Sims 4. The amount of messes that they create is practically impossible for adult sims to clean up and they’re often stubborn.
However, there are a few toddler mods that can help alleviate some of these issues. First, there’s Better Babies and Toddlers by Caradriel.
This mod enables a hidden trait that will open up a ton of different moods and interaction options for babies. The bonus is that it makes parenting feel so much more realistic!
This also includes more interactions for parents to teach their toddlers new words. It’s a great way to get toddlers and their parents on the same page!
2. Inherited Aspiration Bonus
If you want to add a little more depth to your toddlers’ traits, check out the Inherited Aspiration Bonus mod. This mod works by allowing sims to pass on aspiration bonus traits to their children based on their personality and aspirations!
Inherited Traits are a new trait category that Sims gain after fulfilling Character Value Requirements. They can be unlocked after completing certain actions in the game, and are a great way to add personality to your toddlers!
This is one of my favorite traits in the entire game, it’s so unique and can really change a sims personality. It also comes with a few other traits that can be added to a child’s personality which is great for adding variety!
3. Toddler Traits
When a baby becomes a toddler, their personality and interests become visible for the first time. It’s an exciting learning stage for Sims and they can be a lot of fun to play with!
Traits define a toddler’s personality at this early learning stage and affect how they interact with their environment, how they learn, and what needs they have to feel satisfied. There are eight toddler traits, each with their own unique behaviors and abilities:
Independent – Toddlers who have this trait don’t need constant attention from adult Sims. They also gain skills faster when left to their own devices.
Inquisitive – Curious and eager to learn, inquisitive toddlers love to explore their surroundings. They can gain thinking skills quicker than other toddlers and will sometimes throw tantrums if they’re bored or don’t have anything new to learn.
4. Illnesses
Illnesses are not a fun thing to deal with, but thankfully they’re a little more realistic when they appear in Sims 4. The Toddler Sicknesses and Stacking Symptoms mod by NateTheL0ser is a great way to make toddlers feel just like their real-life counterparts!
Depending on the illness, Sims might have a burning belly, have steam coming out of their ears, or even have head spots.
Burnin’ Belly is one of the more severe illnesses and can be pretty scary for your Sims. They’ll rub their stomachs, and you may see a thought bubble above their heads with a bottle of Pepto inside it. They’ll also have a fever and release steam from their ears.
5. Pretend Toy Phone
If you’re struggling to keep your toddler sims occupied, this pretend toy phone could be just what the doctor ordered. With a large number of activities to enjoy, it’s sure to keep your little one occupied and engaged for hours! Read more on TheSims4Mods.
It even has lights that play different sounds and flashing colors to keep them engrossed.
You may be surprised to see a rotary phone on this list, but it’s one of the best toys to have in your Sims 4 toddler mod collection! If your child loves to host tea parties and play pretend, this classic phone will make them feel like they’re having a real phone call.
